one of my best friends is currently on his year abroad in Denmark and, this year, lost one of his closest friends to an extremely aggressive form of bone cancer.

Anyone who might want to be with me needs to be comfortable with the idea that at some point in our relationship I will wake you up by licking your eyelashes.
A list of “I”:
- I missed the sound of motorcycles
- I looked rock n roll today. My pink hair was all wild and tangly, I’d been wearing the same painted leather jacket and clothes for days and sunglasses were hiding my sins
- I smelt rock n roll too.
- I went to the beach instead of home after leaving the place and got a slushie so big it made me feel sick
- We listened to an old kerrang cd on the motorway on the way home and laughed about when we were kids
- I had a shower so hot that my skin turned pink and I felt faint. I stood there for ages
- I had benzos the last two nights so I don’t feel too hopeful about lying in bed now

Thank you. Messages like this are bittersweet as though I appreciate them a lot and they make me hopeful, they also remind me that I have a lot of potential that is being overwhelmed by other stuff at the moment and I feel like a waste.
