Today I embraced the summertime by continuing to wear black.

Adding to the plethora of rants?

On the whole, I’m not bothered by nu-goth/pastel-goth. I actually like it aestheitcally and am happy to incorporate certain items into my wardrobe.

What’s annoying though is that it’s made occult imagery into a fad. This fad will blow over by next year most likely, and then suddenly anyone who was genuinely into witch-craft, satanism and everything else that has been borrowed from by the fad will be viewed as simply behind fashion. If the style encourages people to seek out knowlege about what they deem pretty, then that’s great, but on the whole I doubt it is the case.

For me it’s annoying to see pentagrams plastered everywhere. It’s nice that I can pick up a nice cheap pentagram necklace from wherever on the high street. It’s not nice that when I’m still wearing these things a few years down the line, I’m just going to look behind the street style zeitgeist.

I’m not going to get deeply into how I don’t think people should be wearing symbols they havn’t earned the right to wear through knowledge about them. That goes for Christian crosses aswell as other appropiated images, etc. It must be very tiring for people who hold these things as genuinely spiritual.

Hello! Today I am wearing…

This is from the other day: My new Velvet Dr Martens. Officially my favourite shoes ever.

Me suddenly not going out means gorm photos of my outfit.

I might set up a separate blog for this vanity shit.

In today’s rendition of “I couldn’t sleep last night and therefore have too much time this morning”, I am continuing the boyfriend’s shirt and monochrome knit theme. This time with real live boyfriend in the bed behind me, annoyed that I have usurped his clothes again.
